Where's the best place to sell antiques?

Where's the best place to sell antique furniture / ornaments?

Can you ebay massive / fragile (i.e. non-postable) things? Or would an auction house be better for this kind of thing? Or direct to antique shops?

Does anyone have any experience with this kind of thing?

Depends entirely on what it is so impossible to generalise.

Remember though that you will be selling at wholesale not retail prices i.e. unless you sell to an end user whoever you sell to has to make a profit on it.

• A huge walnut antique wardrobe
• some mirrors
• a chandelier
• lots of ornaments
• some paintings (all nice, but not by anyone well known)
