If your dc is a pokemon card fan, could we them ask a question?

Hi, here is our question....

My ds has joined a pokemon league and has been told that he can only use his pokemon cards from diamond/pearl onwards. But we have a problem in that we can't figure out which ones these are. Do we look at the date at the bottom of the card or is there a symbol to look out for?

Ds would be really happy if you could help, he did buy a starter kit but has hundreds of old cards that he would love to use.

If you could help that would be great.

Hi macwoozy, this is the info that you require, the symbols are on the bottom right of the cards. (you may need to scan down the rules pages a bit but you'll get there, just keep going until you hit a pile of symobls) You can use trainer and energy cards from older series still, but not older pokemon, shout if you need any more help
