I think that's what it is called, Channel 4 tonight at 8.30pm.

Any Mumsnetters on it?

Should be a laugh, looking for some confirmation that my house is not that dirty after all!

It didn't ring true to me, I think it was a set-up.

Made me glad I'd done the bathrooms earlier in the day!

Presumably he wasn't looking to pull though - any woman setting foot in there would run a mile. How could he be so well turned out for work, can't believe he did his own washing and ironing living like that as there wasn't any spare/clean space. Also where did he do his marking without the books getting covered in ancient takeaway. I felt sorry for the cat as it had little choice but to live like that and it seemed better toilet trained than its owner !

Bet he'd been warned of the revisit too - hope they go back in 6 months time without warning

I thought it was a waste of a half hour, where I could have been on good ole Mumsnet! Won't be watching next week. It would have been much better if they went into a cleaner house and inspected what was left on the kitchen surfaces after you thought you had wiped them and what lives in your dishcloth (Mine goes in the dishwasher every night!) That sort of thing, rather than looking a real slobs pigsty.

I started to watch it, but felt so sick after a few minutes that I switched to 5th Gear (but I am a closet petrolhead)

BTW I discovered ages ago the a thick bleach-type loo cleaner will easily get limescale off tap-ends, and the goo that collects round the base of the tap too. (not that I'm a supercleaner, as you can tell cos the goo collected in the first place)

anais · 22/05/2003 21:58

I just think that kind of thing is compulsive viewing. As anyone who's followed any of the cleaning threads will know - I am not a tidy person. It's just fascinating seeing how other people live - and incredibly reassuring that my place isn't actually that bad!

However, this morning I did 3 loads of washing, washing up, cleaned all the surfaces, the oven, cooker and grill, and the fridge, and the microwave, and the toaster, cleaned and descaled the kettle, the basin, and the loo, and vacuumed all round. I'm knackered but it feels gooood!

anais · 22/05/2003 22:00

Oooh, and something else I discovered - sterilising tablets to clean those sports-bottle lids. Works really well if you put one in water under the lid and let the bubbles fizzle up through the hole.

Good tip Anais! You'll be joining Fly Lady next!

I found the egg they found in his fridge facinating.

I suppose it could have been a set-up but I agree with Anais compulsive viewing. I'm just plain nosey though!

Never mind Kim and Aggie - just think of the stick he's going to get from his pupils.....

Happycat · 23/05/2003 17:19

I just watched it for an ego boost and made sure dh was around at the time so he could see that I'm really not that bad

Happycat · 23/05/2003 17:21

Do you think that Kim and Aggie really do the cleaning because one of them looks much to posh to stick her hands down the pan. They look the type of women that employ cleaners.
