Anyone know what sheep like to eat apart from grass?

Thanks, we have some at the end of our garden and would like to feed them but don't know what.

While in the barn the sheep eat corn, hay, water and trace mineral salt. When outside on pasture the sheep eat grass and trace mineral salt and drink water. During cold weather, they are fed hay, salt and water.

SHR, I think sheep do like bits of carrot & apple - but we only every gave ours (when I was a child) peelings - not lumps.

I think farmer George will be less than happy if you start to feed his sheep without permission..

If you mention it to him he may let you give them a bit of sheep mix, he will have tonnes of the stuff, its like cornflakes for sheep, known as 'cake' up here.

I think I'll leave them to it and just watch them nosh the grass from afar. They are so desperate for a shear, their wool is hanging off them.
