did someone say you can book student cinema tickets without showing a student card if you do it online?

OK, this is bad, I know, but... am sure I vaguely remember someone saying you can book cinema tickets with student discount online and don't have to show any ID. is that true?

Ooh, actually my friend probably does have a student card (she's doing a masters), so I should tick the box for her anyway.

yes you can....but be prepared for then to stop and ask to see your ticket and id! Although the worst that can happen is that you will just have to pay the additional money...

OK, have done the decent thing and just booked student ticket for my friend, not me.

Ooh, reporting back to say booked the student discount for my friend and no-one asked to see her card...

Btw, don't bother seeing the Time Traveller's Wife unless you enjoy ripping the piss out of a crappy film. Which we did.
