thinking of moving WEST in a couple of years, anyone live between Gloucersterhire and Wales ?

where are the nice places, villages- small towns etc an whats its like to live there?

I love Monmouth but dont really know much about it

My family are round that way. Monmouth is lovely, good schools and an increasingly affluent feel to it. I would say it's nicer than Ross-on-Wye. You can get to Cardiff easily which is great. Herefordshire has some excellent schools but is definitely much slower and can feel a bit cut off at times. The mid-marches area is much more "distant" again IME.

excellent this is what I need! I too think Monmouth is getting quite posh, you can tell by the shops on the high street-waitrose and M&S food etc he he, but I love it, would move now but need to finish my degree which ends in 2011
