Is soft play on a saturday in the summer holidays guaranteed to be hell on earth?

How bad are soft play centres on a saturday in the summer? I have a 2.9yo and an 11mo and I only go during term time when it's quiet but my step mum wants to take them to a soft play this saturday. I can't go as I'm recovering from a hysterectomy and I'm thinking she doesn't know whats she's letting herself in for . I'm possibly being a bit neurotic but I am dreading it being like a mini Lord of the Flies and it will end in tears.

if its raining avoid like the plague unless you arrive for opening and only stay for an hour.

if its hot - go, will be much quieter, tho ours is offering entry discounts if temps reach 22c between 11am and 3pm, so could be busier.

Soft play on any day of the week, at any time of the year is HELLLLLLLLL

If you go early on a Saturday then it is fairly quiet ime UNLESS it it in the middle of a shopping centre.

It will be hell, since it is soft play. Which level of hell I am not sure, but since it is you MIL and not you who will be facing it, I am not sure I would worry too much IIWY

I only ever go on a Monday morning in term time. Blissful then - DD2 has often been the only one there. That's how I like it.

With OP, it could go one of two ways in that as it's the holidays, a lot of the kids who usually go at the weekends only will have been during the week, so they will do something else and it will be quieter this Saturday.

Or it could be hell on earth.

hmmmm, I think I will suggest my step mum avoids it. I don't think she knows what she is letting herself in for. She seems to think it will be a nice play for ds while she sits down with dd. In reality she will be watching 2.9yo ds like a hawk so the big children don't bash him and carting 11mo dd round with her. I can think of better things to do with them.

I love soft play during term time when it's quiet, but school holidays are not fun.

Best time is an hour or so before closing I find. DO NOT GO AT LUNCHTIME. EVER.
