How on Earth do I do it?

I know the name of the house and half the address but can't find it on BT.

were there any businesses very close by?
Any chance you have old letters / bills stored?

How much of the address have you got? EG if you have the street name maybe you could find it on the Royal Mail website. Or if you can remember what the area was like and you just know the town maybe google maps?

GetOrfMoiLand · 03/08/2009 15:03

www.royalmail.co.uk is very good, you can either search by address or postcode.

LittleMissBliss · 03/08/2009 15:05

I was going to suggest royal mail too. I needed the postcode for a friends house. i knew the house name and area and royal mail found the rest!

It was a children's home and I know the name, the street name and I think the city.

I quite possibly have the address in my file in the roof but can't get up there at the moment and tbh don't cope very well with seeing the file.

No joy on royal mail.

I have the name of the building but no clue to the number and that is all it has come up with.

Have you googled the home's name, tried on postcode anywhere site? Similar to RM but you can check residential and business addresses I think.

If it's old and no longer in business it won't show up as these databases usually hold current buildings and businesses. 192.com might be better.

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 03/08/2009 15:28

I have googled but it didn 't come up in th first few references, it is still there, just have to keep looking.

I can't remember exactly what's on the RM site but try here using the building name only and see what you get.

What about yell.com for the area?

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 03/08/2009 16:14

I think I have found it..
