Have been looking for a people carrier and having trouble getting one at the right price, right mileage etc. Now a bright orange one that would be perfect otherwise has come up for sale but I really dont fancy an orange car and cant decide if I'm being ridiculous. Please tell me!

yes amber sounds good,my dd is called amber lol
ooh, i wouldn't call it orange lol,i don't think it would really stand out,its a nice colour,

my dream car is an orange focus ST, but its proper bright orange lol

Before I looked at this one I always said I wouldnt want yellow or pink and that i would prefer not to have red but I hadnt even thought about orange! Pea green sounds quite attractive in comparison!

Yes but not to visit FIL in Northern Ireland as orange cars are a bit of a political statement round that way

sazm · 29/07/2009 14:22

OMG, i SO want pink, just can't find one i like!!!

My first car was orange (an orange mini). Wouldnt have any other colour but black or silver now though because I think the colour affects trade-in/resale values. A local car dealer simply couldnt get rid of a brown car he once had on the forecourt and my Dad once had to accept a ridiculously low trade-in price on a green car he once had.

Have just been looking on another website and it calls one Tango red metallic - looks almost the same to me - that seems a bit more acceptable.....

Yes I would get one. You'll never spend ages looking for your car in a car park again. I once had a peach car and it was great to spot, and Inever worried about some youths stealing it for joyriding.

EyeballsintheSky · 29/07/2009 14:47

Looks fine to me and not very orangey at all. Nice car.

Ok, have decided that maybe its not that bad and if they still have it at the weekend I will go and see it. If its sold I can console myself with the fact that I never really wanted an orange car!

That looks ok to me. I was thinking more like this

spinsugar - we very nearly got bright orange - the proper Lamborgini orange - for our TVR cerbera, but then chickened out at the last moment and ordered something else. Big regret.
