does anyone do THIS?

I'm thinking of taking up a bloodsport and spending some time with dds teaching them. I thought about fishing. I just get the feeling that it could be kind of fun, you know, dangle a juicy piece of meat on a hook, watch all the fish bite, reel them in. what do you think?

My dh was there a few years ago too, hatsoff.

Now,fishing wise,this weekend we went up to a river that the fish swim up to to spawn, and the river was full of Kurdish blokes picking them off by hand! At least,they were trying too. Every now and then a gang of scary armed Turkish soldiers would come up and give them a bollocking,while they all assumed a nonchalent 'I've-no-idea-what-you're-talking-about'air!

Hatsoff, make sure that you and any other adults involved in the tuition have consumed at least a bottle of wine (each) before the sport starts, won't you?

And if you can, I'd fish in a place where there are no safety fences or anything. That would really hone your DD's survival instincts.

You people make me sick, how dare you criticise this way of life? You all surely know that all the supermarkets are closing down, tomorrow, worldwide?. All meat is obtained by groups of joyful 10year olds peppering the animals with their shoulder rocket launchers, while wearing foxes on their feet and Davy Crocket hats. In this land of post nuclear fall out, my father in law is a billionaire who lives in a railway carriage on the beach (where else) and writes books for Tom Clancy in his spare time. I'm great, my DH is great and you're all scroungers.

well ihave been really bad

i have been fox hunting, deer stalking, shooting rabbits and fishing

there is nothing better than eating what you have shot or caught ( not the fox ). venison stew is just lovely, i have a freezer full of it
