orinoco told me breifly about this last night.

long and short of it is, we dont actually earn enough for them to give us the amount we want to borrow..however without being utterly skint, we can still afford the huge mortgage that would bestow us! if only we could be given the opportunity

have searched the net, but no 'real' info..can ANYONE either point me in the right direction or give me you experience??

Best way is through recommendations really, but I would imagine that most (not ALL) are reputable and good.

teesside..never had a 'good' one although thie one dp saw last week was helpful with last mortgage, didnt do any favours this time

Nationwide didn't ask for proof of earnings when we re-mortgaged two years ago. Don't know if htat is still the case though.
