It's a brilliant car! What model are you getting?

EachPeachPearMum · 18/06/2009 06:51

tbh there's not much crappy about them!
Had mine from new... never had a problem mechanically (battery lasted 5 years exactly, but that is normal for any car).
Very very economical to run too.
V small- great for parking!

Tambajam · 18/06/2009 07:12

Ours is bloody fantastic. 5 years and counting.

PuppyMonkey · 18/06/2009 08:44

OOh, you're all saying exactly the right thing. It's a Fabia 1 or something.... I'm not entirely sure tbh. Will look properly later...

But I can confirm it's a deeply gorgeous shade of red....

Skodas are the best cars around atm. I've been wanting an Octavia for years and finally have a man that shares my view, so hopefully will be getting one soon (and hopefully the vrs (I'm not a speed freak, honest!))

chevre · 18/06/2009 09:09

theya re abit plasticky inside

chim000 · 18/06/2009 09:31

But nowhere near as cheap & plasticky as an audi, and they're bloody expensive & driven by cocks!

GivePeasAChance · 18/06/2009 09:33

I do always think Skoda Labia

Just can't get past that

TigersChick · 18/06/2009 09:33

My parents have an Octavia and couldn't be happier with it.

morningpaper · 18/06/2009 09:35

Ours is great, 9 years old and the only thing that's gone technically wrong is that the window mechanism is a bit dodgy at times.

PuppyMonkey · 18/06/2009 09:44

Now, I would never have thought of labia you see. Cos I am so pure and innocent etc.

I am v.excited now... DP is now going to get him (yes, it seems to be a him) at noon.

1 something does cover rather a large range of engine sizes, I hope you haven't got the 1.4 although if you're mostly in town driving it's fine.

Me and DH alternate car choices so we're currently on a Honda. It's alright but not really comparing like with like as we now have to drive a f**k-off estate to have room for DH's wheelchair.

PuppyMonkey · 19/06/2009 08:40

Have got a 1.0 tribpot.... and he's ever so lovely. And I'm only using it as my run around for going to work, shopping etc etc. We have a highly embarassing Fiat Doblo as the big old family car.
