tbh there's not much crappy about them!
Had mine from new... never had a problem mechanically (battery lasted 5 years exactly, but that is normal for any car).
Very very economical to run too.
V small- great for parking!

fecking fantastic cars - not much to look at but it starts every time and has been nae bother our is 2003 and still going strong.

Skodas are the best cars around atm. I've been wanting an Octavia for years and finally have a man that shares my view, so hopefully will be getting one soon (and hopefully the vrs (I'm not a speed freak, honest!))

My parents have an Octavia and couldn't be happier with it.

Ours is great, 9 years old and the only thing that's gone technically wrong is that the window mechanism is a bit dodgy at times.

Now, I would never have thought of labia you see. Cos I am so pure and innocent etc.

I am v.excited now... DP is now going to get him (yes, it seems to be a him) at noon.

1 something does cover rather a large range of engine sizes, I hope you haven't got the 1.4 although if you're mostly in town driving it's fine.

Me and DH alternate car choices so we're currently on a Honda. It's alright but not really comparing like with like as we now have to drive a f**k-off estate to have room for DH's wheelchair.

Have got a 1.0 tribpot.... and he's ever so lovely. And I'm only using it as my run around for going to work, shopping etc etc. We have a highly embarassing Fiat Doblo as the big old family car.
