macdog · 05/08/2009 09:46

Yesterday's history,
Tomorrow's a mystery,
Today is a gift
That's why they call it the Present.

I'm fine Girls, thanks

going to colour my hair now - I've let it fade somewhat

I love some of the backyardigan music

the mermaid songs uniqua sings are amazing

VoodooOnABoat · 05/08/2009 10:03

VoodooOnABoat · 05/08/2009 10:05

ds still in bed poorly may be bouncing down the doctors later

but, he is still drinking lots and no diaorrhea
keeping calpolling and hope for the best

VoodooOnABoat · 05/08/2009 10:07

me and my mother nicked all the valuable plants/mini trees she bought me and I bought over past 3yrs out of the garden and whisked down the m6 and replanted in her garden

bleeding hearts, llelandi, a dark red leafed thing, all my pots, a box which needed repotting, lots of shady things and a rose!

macdog · 05/08/2009 10:38

so, how confusing is this, got him in the doctor,
then realised he has swine flu symptoms
did the website checker thing
it told me to get him tamiflu and gave me the code
he rallied slightly,
so I rang the doc and cancelled apt,
then he was ill again, have put him down to sleep

but he has not got swineflu
his temp. is controlled by calpol and he has eaten a fair bit today
think he has a virus,
so that swine flu site is rubbish as dont need the stuff?

Jennster · 05/08/2009 17:33

Hope he feels better soon Voodoo. It's horrible to watch them be sick, isn't it.

macdog · 05/08/2009 17:43

My.Feet.Hurt.

Back from playday with scary monster child.

I'm in a heap, she's binging off the walls!

jiminy effing cricket.
after his nap he had diaorrhea and did this weird thing where he arched his back in (I thought) agony,
so I gets on the phone and does the whole hysterical mother thing to the doctor, who kindly agree to see us, after I vehemently deny his being pig-flu-infected.
so we dash down there, all dramatic.

and he is teething.
but I suppose it is good to be sure. He frightened me rather with the arching thrashing fit-esque thing.
turns out it was temper

VoodooOnABoat · 05/08/2009 19:25

so I felt like Id been on tentahooks all day for nothing. so I hijacked abottle of wine I d bought for my friend's birthday.
feel squiffy now, and more relaxed. It was a nice rose too, I will have to get her another one tomorrow.

dd's new carseat arrives tomorrow, a graco high-backed booster seat (macdog please tell me I didnt buy a crap one) dh told me I should have researched them first but I just bought the cheapest Tesco had graco cars for about £30 inc delivery charge.

macdog · 05/08/2009 20:15

Graco fine as far as I know - high back boosters all much of a muchness

OP posts:
Jennster · 05/08/2009 21:39

No idea about high back boosters. DS was 13kg, and dd1 12.8kg when they were weighed the other day, so we've got a little time until we need a booster. Diarrhoea is a symptom of the piggy......

macdog · 06/08/2009 08:31

dd up now, so off to dismantle the cotbed and get ready for big bed coming

Jennster · 06/08/2009 08:59

Goodluck Macdog. Hopefully you'll have more luck than we did with ds going into a bed. Do you have Dunhelm Mill in Scotia? Bought some cheap but fab bedding in there. Lilac with fairies. I've given up trying to make her room less girly.

I'm giving away my crib and moses basket stands next week, so we have to erect our cotbed again some time.

macdog · 06/08/2009 09:19

she's been fine with the sides off her cotbed, so fingers crossed.
She's still in her snuggle sacs at night, so should make transition more secure for her.

She's very excited

I admit to having a wee teary moment

Cotbed away to charity shop

ahh bless them all growing up!

ds has a nasty odd rash on calf which doesnt diaappear with a glass!!!! [petrified]

sop rang doc again, they said to come immediately [petrified]
then told me he likely has a bit of dermatitis.
[phew]
however doc said he'd never seen a rash quite like it..

VoodooOnABoat · 06/08/2009 14:20

so that was temp+sickness+diaorrhaea+off food+rash

that kid will be the death of me. I think he is teething and very ill with it.

mil says to collect the tamiflu and have it on standby for me or dh if we need it.

not sure though.

macdog · 06/08/2009 18:05

big bed installed - no room left for anything

OP posts:

macdog · 07/08/2009 08:55
