WHERE CAN I GET PURE COTTON SCHOOL TROUSERS?

My son suffers from eczema on his legs which I've noticed gets worse during term time. I think it might be due to the school trousers I bought which are treated with Teflon. So I'm trying desperately to get him some cotton school trousers but can't find any - can anyone help?

sezza, there is a company which used to be called Cotton On, which had a full range of cotton clothes for children, including school uniform, but I can't find them on the internet so they must have changed their name - does anyone know what they are called now?

A company that I sometimes use is COTTON MOON.
DOn't know whether or not you'll find anything there

Haven't we had this question before a long time ago, it might be worth checking the archives.

Hi Sezza - yes, we have had this before - it was me! Never found the cotton trousers - nearest I got was GLTC/Kids Stuff, they were grey, but didn't look like school trousers, and ds1's sch is quite strict on uniform, so that didn't work.

BUT Rhiannon (I think - from memory - thankyou R) suggested getting him (long) cotton boxers, and this seems to have worked for us, along with good quality cotton socks. We also make sure he changes his uniform when he gets home, and wears 100% cotton for the rest of the time.

My kids have always worn 100% cotton everything, so it was a shock to see what school trousers are made from. But to give them their due these polycotton/teflon trousers are extremely hard wearing.

Good luck - let us know if you find a solution for your son.

A-ha! Just did a search, as suggested by Rhiannon, and what used to be Cotton On is now:

The school trousers are v expensive though - £24 upwards. Good luck!
