Ideas for a goody bag for 11 yr old French penfriend

ds if off on a school French exchange trip next week. We have bought some goodies for his host family but need a few ideas for his actual correspondent (who may not be hosting him). He brought ds a bag of small treats when he visited, like a party bag. Any ideas please ?

What about a jar of marmite?

Maybe some Top trump card that would obviously be in English and you are bound to be able to find some that are good for the corrspondant's interests

We sent DD's Italian pen pal copies of the Julia Donaldson books, The Gruffalo, Room on the Broom and Stickman. They would be far to easy for most 11yr old English kids but they were at the right level for her level of English.

A cheesy english souvenir too, deffo, like a union jack pencil or a red phone box pencil sharpener - don't 11 year olds all love bizarre stationary items?
