Selfridges 5th floor restaurant

MrsMattie · 26/05/2009 13:09

Hmmm. Not the land of child friendly restaurants, the West End, really. There is an 'Ask' off Tott Ct rd, near the Warren St end, that's pretty accommodating. Or that Turkish ploace - one on Gt Portland St and one on Gt Titchfield St - ummm...trying to recall name....

NotQuiteCockney · 26/05/2009 13:14

Sofra is a nice Turkish chain, and there's one just north of Oxford Tube. (Called Ozer, I think.)

Oh, there's a Carluccios just north of Oxford Street. There's a Pizza Express in Soho.

If you're both meat eaters, you could go to Bodeans on Poland street. Downstairs is nicer, and easier, but getting down there would be a bit of a pain.

If you are down the Habitat end, go around the corner to Planet Organic. Amazing grub (meat free) and you should be able to park up the pram. Muffins delish too and the carrot cake looks to die for, i've resisted so far though

Sycamoretree · 26/05/2009 14:23

Oh, yes, I'd forgotten about Carluccios, but Planet Organic looks lovey Salleroo - might be tempted to give it a try as not too far from the tube.

Thanks everyone

Patisserie Valerie next door Planet Organic child friendly - even has high chairs.

Sycamoretree · 27/05/2009 18:41

You need to go to Charlotte Street.

Loads of good places there.

Sycamoretree · 27/05/2009 18:48

I thought about that squeaver, but they all seem not that baby friendly. I eat at Charlotte St hotel and Roka a fair bit for workylunches, but couldn't afford to pay for it myself lol!

Was hoping for somewhere a bit more cosy. Will give this planet organic a whirl I think as I like the sound of it.

yes I'm going to try it too next time I'm working near there, ST.

Sycamoretree · 27/05/2009 18:57

Leon etc too far away from northern line for my pal - and too far for me to walk in my heels from office lol!

Squeaver - I will report back.

Eaglebar is fab yes, but I will be forced to drown myself in some kind of peanut butter milkshake and my WW leader will not be happy

Bertorelli on Charlotte Street is great for babies, I have been there several times with my DD over the last year, first time she was about 3 weeks old! It's really spacious so plenty of room for a buggy.

Only downside is no baby change but with DD they just let me go into on of the private office rooms and change her there.

Hmm, trying to remain vaguely cryptic as don't actually want to COMPLETELY out myself , but I am in a big office block on, you know, the very big shopping street. Eagle is just round the corner.
