Oh yeah!
So much fun.

I have spent the last ten years in the gorgeous buckinghamshire countryside and just love this time of year in the village.

I love the way the big burly men embrace the "male only" cake making competition.

The pumpkin growing "ooh you should see the size"

The ridiculous game of "Aunt Sally"

The community spirit and fundraising that sends pensioners off on coach trips and holidays all year round (yes they get brought back)

drip drip sigh the gorgeous troup of new zealand sheep shearers that arrive every year and seem to stay all summer.

The game keeper strutting around and whispering filthy jokes in my ear.

Shocking stuff and gossip.....but hey that's fine.
I say nothing!
Just smile.

Overall the children are loved by everyone and ticked off by everyone (where appropriate)
It's still great here.

gush x
P.S organic cider is possibly the reason my glasses had a hint of rose tint yesterday...

Sounds bloomin' wonderful to me! Wish I'd been there!

It is, it is!(pm jumps for joy)
The cakes were bloody lovely and the men were so competitive.
I like the thought of a beer swilling, pinny donning farm labourer (blimey getting all hot at the thought)sifting flour

Next years challenge for the farmers is to pose for and produce a calendar to sell. Eleven have offered to pose already (by proxy)
Should be worth a laugh couple of quid

Watch out though cos soon everyone will start getting bumped off and you're poor village bobby will be run ragged. (It's probably Audrey, the vicar's illegitimate love child who is masquerading as the new guitar playing primary teacher wot did it.)

Ahhh....I understand.
I am either lacking from any kind of stimulus or just incredibly easily pleased?
I just love it here
The weekend passed by in a collective of pub based "family, friends and neighbours" social gatherings
I actually think it makes no difference if you consume alcahol or not-it's the meeting up which is great!
We have our share of lifes tapestry and stories to fill the dreaded mails daily pages for some considerable time......
but it's all a secret
