Would you buy prescription sunglasses online?

Went and got my eyes tested today as I want some prescription sunglasses. Found some that suited me but they were Ted Baker and came to about £115 all in. this is quite a lot for me considering I don't actually need prescription sunglasses (dont drive) I just want a pair.
SO when I got home I looked the styl eup online to show dh and see what he thought and found I could get them online fo a good deal cheaper.
But I'm unsure if I'm confident enough to buy online. I have my prescription and also I have my size as theyre written on the arm of my normal glasses. Would you buy online in my position?

Probably would if I had tried them on in a shop before and was sure they were the ones I liked.

Yes I would - frames are an absolute rip off and have huge margins...

If you have your prescription, would it be a good idea to shop around or wait for some promotions - DH got a free pair of prescription sunglasses when he bought his glasses ...

Yes absolutely I would. You have a prescription.

My optician nearly had a fit when I said I intended to to that and gave me a huge lecture about buying glasses online. But really, when I went away and thought about it, not much of what he said really added up other than the fact that he didn't want me buying (much cheaper) glasses from somewhere else

my only worry is the pupil distant but some places seem to have a default setting so I'll get my dh to have a quick measure as its obviously not vital.
I think I'll gofor it though. Thanks
