Who is Cheaper - Tesco or Asda?

Sorry for this being random but i'm off to uni in September and am wondering which is cheaper so a)i have a clear idea and b) i can get a tesco clubcard if it is.

I realise this topic is gonna sound sooo weird but i'm from Jersey C.I and i don't have either over here to compare them.

Asda for clothes. Local markets are cheaper than all supermarkets for meat and veg, unless you specify organic.

Thanks!! I'm definately gonna get a tesco clubcard since its redeamble for airmiles which i'll used to visit home but will rememeber if i only need basics to go to asda and aldi! Cheers

and i think the co-op is slightly more expensive then checkers here... and M&S even more so since they add VAT to our food cause they knock it off our clothes!!! bring on asda!!!!!
