The main thing I've got is that there IS NO right answer most of the time and we all do things differently. I'm much more tolerant as a result of mumsnet.

I only discovered this fantastic site on Friday and already I'm hooked. I was looking for advice on how to get my 20month old to stop drinking from a bottle and to take a cup (until now had failed miserably). Can now proudly announce that my DD has not asked for the dreaded bottle since Friday - yippeeeee

Also that there are 6 ways to wear a g string without having to wash it. can't wear the things but that would be extremely useful if I did.

Don't tell dh 'Mumsnet says' don't worry about colic/not walking yet/refusing green veg/whatever the issue of the day is. Tell him 'the doctor/nursery/your mum says' and he's much more likely to believe you...

That Ice Cream Vans play a tune to let you know that they have run out of ice cream - or in our family now, that their fridge has broken down so they can't sell any.

har-har, aotd, "not logged in"!

Another jolly useful tip re bats is that when you put your cursor on the link, the URL appears across the bottom of the screen, aha aha! Even if it isn't soest.hawaii, if it's photobox or equivalent it is probably still the sodding bat
