Last week a 5 year old choked on her school dinner at a local school, today we recieved a letter from Ds' school telling us that she has sadly died, Herts CC have removed the food she choked on from their menus and given talks to the children about this.
So sad

Ds is up, very upset because he is thinking about the little girl. He had a dream about her too.

this is desperately sad. She looks like a little angel

this is the same one someone else posted about this morning right ? (she had a 7 year old son who had been told about it at school) - surely there can't be two such tragedies at the same time ?

sparklymieow · 04/05/2005 13:27

no, that was me too.

sorry - my brain isn't working well today.

sparklymieow · 04/05/2005 13:30

made me well up when I read about it today and saw her cheeky grin

I guess it is just one of those - not really something you could predict or protect against.

I guess almost any food could be a choking risk.

Very sad. Poor parents.

That's just awful. I don't even want to think about it. Just dreadful

misdee · 04/05/2005 15:14

awful, but at the same time her parents are so generous at allowing her organs to be donated. reading the article made me cry.
