Can't believe DH has been sick from drink for first time in our marriage. Wide awake keeping an eye on him - (he will pay tomorrow!)

Flamesparrow · 07/05/2009 07:48

How long have you been married?

Bucharest · 07/05/2009 07:50

Play loud music....open curtains......shine light on face.....make him eat greasy fried eggs......hide the nurofen.....he'll learn....

EvenBetaDad · 07/05/2009 07:50

Poor bloke - I bet he feels really sheepish.

Take him a coca cola and a paracetomol just to show him you still love him.

You should milk it a little bit of course - because he should definitley pay for making you sit up and watch over him.

Hope he does not have too hard a day at work though and feeling better soon.

Flamesparrow · 07/05/2009 07:54

Baffled as to why he has to pay, and why you were sat up watching him tbh

I second flame

Dh was sick once - on the stairs. Bless him he cleaned it all up and confessed the next day. No more than he should have done mind you!

I was very glad I'd slept through it though. Don't really know why you had to sit up watching him. In my (reasonably limited experience) once they are sick the worst is over as it tends to empty them and thus the chance of the vomiting and choking in their sleep is much reduced. Or am I missing something?

TrinityIsLovingHerLittleRhino · 07/05/2009 08:03

in the nine years we've been together dh has been sick once and he cleaned it all up and told me the next day
I did have a little gigle with him about it

seriously why would you watch him or make him pay?

Agree with Flame, DH was sick once when we were staying on his parents boat. Unfortunately he passed out on teh bed, and weighed about 4 stone more than me so I had to sleep in the (very cold) wheelhouse. That deserved making him pay by taking me out for a ncie breakfast when he came too woke up.
Otherwise, put him in recovery position if you must, chuck a blanket over him if it is really codl and leave him to it. Then next time you are both out drinking just point out it is his turn to egt up with the DC's Job done.
