ggglimpopo (is that the right number of gs?) is living MY life. Rambling house near Bordeaux, French husband, loads of kids, bbqs with strange fish. That's my life, would you care to have your real one back?

I do envy pphs weather though, it always seems to be balmy sunshine where she lives

and I do have flashes of envy for urban dwellers occasionally

yes we have a mediterranean type microclimate here. must be the warming effect caused by the jet stream from our local RAF base

no rest for the wicked cd, I have people here all weekend so the catering continues. light supper of prawn and salmon thai fishcakes, rocket tomato and mozzerella salad, steamed courgettes and fruit salad for afters...

hahahaha I have a Basilico pizza on the way and a bottle of very nice wine indeed and I don't have to do a STROKE! (have been out last 2 nights so suffering from geriatric exhaustion..)

Countess Dracula I hate to tell you but I lived your life last Sunday night, pizza and enduring love (the film). It was a diabolical, truly dreadful film. Very depressing and the scene in the field will haunt me ....

JanH - Thanks again. One thing that has nose-dived since the kids took up an instrument, and that is reading. We really don't do enough these days. Oh, for the days when they were little and didn't have three or four activities each week. Dd asked this w/e if she could join a running club! All very worthy and that, but more things to take them to!

ahhhh cd we used to get our pizzas from basilico when we were londoners - they were very good, delicious. I'm a BIT jealous...

I do envy the rolling acres at Peahead Towers and Enid's glamorous rural idyll though.

She doesn't live in the rambling country house any more though, Marina - I think the town house might be a bit crowded with all of you and all of them too
