MIL not coming on holiay with us next year, what can we do that is different

We ALWAYS go to haven sites whicch to be honest are cheap andd cheerful and the kids love but MIL is not coming with us next year (we holiday with MIL evvery year) and I would like to take the chance to doo something different with my little family, just us,. Money will be an issue though as we wont have MILS share of the holiday. What can we do??

Cottage somewhere?

Might be an option. Thhe kids havent been on holiday if they dont go to thhe shows/theme park and ddh doesnt really 'do' walking.

sounds like your only real option then is haven or a holiday site very similar to haven- if you think that the kids will miss the entertainment.

But I want to do something differrent. I have a while to work on dh . i will keeep looking.

dh doesnt like the beach. think I should leave him at home lol

Farm holiday - you have a cottage or teepee on a working farm and the kids have a good time 'helping' with the animals.

If you google Wiltshire farm teepee or tipi a lovely looking one comes up; I can't remember the name but we are considering it for hols.
