We need to hire a car to drive from south coast to glasgow.

4 adults and child

Is there loads of room for luggage and golf clubs?

Are the seats roomy?

Other choice is saab estate

Saab estate can hold tons of luggage and three sets (at least) of golf clubs easily. Don't know about the Sharan.

no room for luggage with that number of passengers - well, maybe a few handbags. You'd have to put bags etc into footwells and on knees - not ideal for that kind of journey
The seats are very roomy - the Sharan's only saving grace.

thanks ladies

mrs muddle-would two adults and one child (6yrs) be cramped in the back of the saab?

geekgirl- so three suitcases and two set of clubs would be too much?

No, but if the driver is very tall, there's not a great deal of legroom in the back behind the driver's seat.

dh is 5'7 and I'm shorter .
thanks

ggirl - I used to have a sharan, if you ask the hire company to take out rear seats you will have loads of room for luggage and golf clubs! The three seats in the back (not rear ones) are very roomy, they are 3 full sized seats, like you get in the front seat.

Ford galaxy and seat (mpv, don't know the name of it) are all exactly the same!

We drove from south coast to central france with 2 year old twins, 4 adults, luggage for 2 weeks, a double buggy and booster seats, plenty of room. The only downside was that twin 2 did not stop talking all the way!

thanks callaird-that's a good idea about ttaking the seats out.
lol about your dc talking all the way
