FFS, Stupid flippin recycling bins. I am sooooo Cross!!!!

Today the council are starting to empty the garden waste bins.

We got a little info booklet to tell us what we can and cannot put in our bins.

So as per instructions I have only put in grass cuttings, thin twigs etc

This morning the bloody council mafia came down our street in their bright yellow jackets, stared in to our bin and whacked an amber warning on it saying that if I do it again I will be charged £50 and taken to court!!! WTF???

I've rung them up and shouted anyway but I am soooooooooo cross

What did they say when you rang up?

He said that he would chase it up and speak to the guys who were doing this area as he was quite concerned because it is a new scheme for Barnsley and for things to go wrong on the first day is not good.

The blokes also stared in to our house which peed me off. How dare they? Power gone to their heads IMO.

What didn't they like in your bin then? Sounds like you'd done as they asked.

I know what you mean about mafia tactics though. When the recycling scheme started here many years ago, they would take glass bottles. Over time, they decided they would no longer take glass after all.

I didn't read whatever I should have instructing us of the change. Came home from work on bin day, to find they had emptied the bin, but had kindly hoiked out my very impressive and embarassingly huge wine bottle collection and left it on the front garden for all the neighbours to see

God knows what it was!

I really hope those same guys come round, I'm going to give them such a rollicking

Feel cross for you NBG. We keep getting new lists of what can't be recycled. The latest is envelopes because they contain alcohol in the gum which causes probs with the recycle system.
