I AM being unreasonable.......but annoyed anyway

My mum had promised me that she would come and stay when I have exams at the end of this term, some of them finish after the nursery closes so I really need her to pick up the bean and take him home. I was also looking forward to her being around for a few days to cook and babysit and clean so I can study.

Well, she's only gone and got a job! So she's only coming down for one day at a time. Which means that she will stay one night, totally disrupt ds's sleep pattern and leave me with a baby who will cry until 10pm for the next 5 days, then he will finally settle and she will be back the next day to disrupt him again.

It's still brilliant that she's coming at all and I'm being totally selfish and should be happy that she's back in the classroom, she's been away from teaching for a while because of depression and horrible children at her last school.

Wanted to see it written down so I realise how stupid I'm being and just be grateful that she's coming at all!

Why will she disrupt ds' sleep pattern when she stays?

don't know why, but whenever anyone stays he wont sleep, just cries until we all go to bed and then crys for the next week as well.

It must be really stressful looking after a baby and doing exams. I sympathise cos I couldn't do it!!

It should be stressful, but I just leave everything else for a few weeks. I don't cook or clean and my house turns into a total pigsty! ds will go back in disposable nappies and he'll be lucky if he gets anything more exciting than mince and potatoes for dinner.
