i think ive offended 2 of my male friends new girlfriends. they are both nice girls, but by the next morning i had a feeling i had been a bit ott and mouthy (nothing new there then)

my best mate and dh both agreed i had gone a bit too far but they cant remember much either cos they were both pissed too

they are saying things like 'oh it wasnt too bad' 'dont worry' but i know for a fact that both these girls were mostly sober so they will remember and i keep getting flashbacks

That post alcohol paranoia gets worse with age though doesn't it?
Never gave a s* about what I'd done or said years ago. Now....OMG!!!!

nailpolish · 25/04/2005 14:20

lou33 · 25/04/2005 14:37

how about i come out with you next time and can insult them on your behalf?

Gizmo · 25/04/2005 14:43

I wonder if we can start a support group:

'Survivors of PAP.' Motto: if I don't remember it, it didn't really happen.

tarantula · 25/04/2005 14:49

Ill join that one gizmo. I know for a fact that I couldnt possibly have said or done half of the things that dp and others have claimed over the years. cos Im an innocent Irish Cathoic girl me [flutters eyelids in an innocent fashion]

Gizmo · 25/04/2005 14:54

I'm sure you didn't do anything Tarantula - nothing you couldn't tell your mother/priest about anyway....

nailpolish · 25/04/2005 15:40

oh well why dont you all come to my housewarming then? you can all be on my side, back me up and say 'oh get a life' when they tutt at my drunken behaviour

or just join me in the drunkeness, thats a better idea!

im sure your insults are much better than mine lou

'survivors of PAP' should be a copywrite i love it

Sounds good to me NP. Get a Life is my best put down line (too pissed to think of anything else maybe)

nailpolish · 25/04/2005 15:46

Gizmo · 25/04/2005 15:49

Congrats on the new house, BTW, Nailpolish.

Go on, give 'em another chance. If they're really nice girls, they'll come along and not mind when you start playing 'pin the dummy on the baby'

Gizmo · 25/04/2005 15:49

Not a real baby, obviously.

'cos that would be cruel...

nailpolish · 25/04/2005 15:51

oh my god ive just fallen off the chair LOL

no, i do like them, i just dont think they want to be my friend

there is no point in hiding the fact im a drunken fag hag, if there are going to be sticking around then its best they find out sooner or later. i might even introduce them to the wonders of gin and vodka

tarantula · 25/04/2005 15:52

nailpolish · 25/04/2005 15:53

NP,

I've had this very problem recently - shouted my mouth off about a good friends new girlfriend - it of course got back to her what I'd said

The next time I saw her I had a few drink (duch courage you understand) and had a very indepth conversation with her.

I said I knew what I'd said had got back to her and upset her and I was really sorry - that my 1st impression of her was totally wrong and that I'm a bit of an "old tart" when I've had a few drinks and that my gob often runs away without me.

She said she had been really frightened of me but was glad we'd cleared the air - we've got on really well ever since!!!!

And Now she knows I'm a gobby cow when I'm pissed so I can carry on next time we go out

i dont do it often no, cos i never get the chance to go out. i suppose if i had the chance every night..................

sweetheart, that sounds great! hope they are as forgiving to me...

nailpolish · 25/04/2005 16:13

i could always spike them

OP posts:
sweetheart · 25/04/2005 16:14

ohhhh NP - thats mean, but I like it!!!

lou33 · 25/04/2005 16:55

we could all come round to yours and get pissed, then tell them both to get a personality

Sponge · 25/04/2005 17:04

They don't drink at all, anything?
Surely they're not human. Therefore no worries about insulting them.
Spiking drinks will probably only make them sick so if you try this then do it at one of their houses not yours - you don't want to have to clear up.

Fio2 · 25/04/2005 17:10

usually if you get blotto you wake up thinking you have done something awful but dont know what and usually people dont mention it until two months after and use it as a weapon to rib the piss out of you
