question for mears... and any other midwives/student midwives

I am due to start my midwifery training in september (deferred from last year)... ds will only be 7 months old...
I have a few questions I would like to ask..

1. did you do midwifery direct entry?
2. do you think the course would be too difficult to manage with a small baby to look after as well?
3. do you love your job?
