Hi, My sister is getting married at the end of may. I'm looking for a wedding pressie for her but I'm not sure what to get. I don't want to ask her as I want it to be a supprise.
What was the best wedding present you recieved? When we got married, we recieved about 10 photo albums. (Although we did use them all).

What do she/he like/has she set up home/do they have it all?

My sister's wedding is soon and I'll get her something for her new home which she is setting up.

Hi, yes, they areliving together and basically have everything. So it's a bit tricky.

My favourite one was silver chip forks (hehe)

What about a framed print?

mummyloveslucy · 27/03/2009 09:36

Yes, I think she'd like them too. She has a great sence of humour.

My In-Laws commissioned a local artist to paint a picture of the place we got married in. I gather it wasn't very expensive, but it's a nice picture, original, and lives on our wall with pride.

My SIL (who is a press photographer) took photos during the wedding and gave us all the pictures on a CD as a wedding present.

That sounds nice. The photo C.D is a lovely idea, but I'm not that good.

What's the budget?

Tillyscoutsmum · 27/03/2009 10:30

What's the budget ? Someone bought us a voucher for a meal for two with wine etc. at a lovely local hotel. It was really nice to look forward to a night out together after all the madness of the wedding had died down

mummyloveslucy · 27/03/2009 10:38

Wow that's a fantastic idea, she'd love that.
The budget can only be £50-£60 though as we're paupers.

Nicest present we got was a rose that flowers around our anniversary.

mummyloveslucy · 27/03/2009 10:44

That sounds lovely too. I wonder if I can find one that flowers around the end of May?

If you find a rose you could plant it in a personalised planter with their names and date of the wedding on it?

Tillyscoutsmum · 27/03/2009 13:32

£50-£60 would be more than enough for a nice meal out somewhere. Has your sis got a Hotel Du Vin anywhere near her ? That's where we went. You can get gift cards from there and they can spend it how they want.

Will have a look tomorrow and see if the label is still there - we got married at beginning of June
