Baby not even born yet but I have the feeling this may be one of many "issues"

Why would you want one? I don't want one either. Any hassle, tell her to give me a ring

they are dangerous

WideWebWitch · 20/04/2005 19:16

You're right if YOU don't want one, who cares what anyone else thinks. Oooh, you've got a "MIL"

swiperfox · 20/04/2005 19:16

You are right - they're lethal!!!
They don't teach babies to walk despite being called a walker, and personally I think they put un-necessary strain on growing ankles and joints.
Plus they tip over once the little ones get fast enough!!

WideWebWitch · 20/04/2005 19:16

Have a feeling Cod's is best solution.

Caligula · 20/04/2005 19:17

Of course you're right. Kids don't need baby-walkers to walk, they've been learning to do it for thousands of years without them. Plus, about five years or so ago, they were the biggest cause of accidents for under 1 year olds being admitted to hospitals. (I don't think they are any more because people stopped using them in the wake of that story - not sure though.)

Have so far said house is too small (it is) but then she's offered to have it at her house!

I used our babywalker to keep DSs trapped in the bathroom (but unable to touch toilet etc) whilst I had a shower. That is the only thing I used it for, and I asked for mine. DD didn't go in it at all.
