Do you have any ideas for an Easter party ??

Hi, I'm going to have a little Easter party for a few little nursery friends and their mums. I've never done an Easter party before, and wondered if you had any ideas.
I've thought about an easter egg hunt in the garden for the children, cream teas, cakes, and heart shaped sandwiches for everyone.
My daughter has a wendy house in the garden so that would be fun for the girls if the weather is nice. If not, she has a play room up stairs. I'm going to ask the girls to bring their easter bonetts that they made for nursery as it'd be nice to have a photoe of them wearing them.
If you have any other ideas or know of any traditions that might be fun, please let me know. The girls will be between 2 and 4 years old.

I've just thought of hot crossed buns, would they be better than cream teas?.

hmm ok well how about you could papier mache some small balloons and if the weather is nice they could colour them in or paint them or glitter them.

How about a Easter Picnic? If the weather is bad, clear a space indoors and let everyone who can sit on the floor.

Hot Cross Buns are always a good choice.

Carrot Sticks and Cucumber for Rabbits!!

Wikipedia have some ideas

Thanks, that's a great idea. No doubt the egg hunt will last about 2 minutes.

I thought about the children decorating hard boiled eggs, then having an egg and spoon race in the garden. The 2 two year olds, then the 3 four year olds. Our garden isn't huge though. It wouldn't take long.

I did an egg hunt one year with those foil wrapped small eggs that I put out just before the party started and they all melted! So if weather is like today I recommend you don't hide the eggs until just before the hunt.

Oh! Thanks for letting me know that. I wouldn't have even concidered that.
I'll also have to make sure my daughter dosn't see me hiding them.

Either that, or hunt the painted hard boiled eggs? Perhaps not so much fun.

Make an Easter card.

Make a basket, decorate, then do egg hunt.

Decorate hard boiled eggs.

Egg rolling.

Egg and spoon race.

Pin the cotton tail on the rabbit.

Plant a bulb (or is it too late? - sunflower? carrot?) in a pot - and decorate pot / make label?

Thanks, I like the idea of pin the tail on the rabbit. I'm definatly going to do the bulb thing too.
