DH answered the call yesterday and told them, thanks but we're wired up already.

I wouldn't have thought to say that, I'd just said not interested thanks out of habit. But I wouldn't have thought about the fact that the caller was a crim trying to suss out who in the area is, or isn't wired up!

There was no return number (no surprise there) but surely someone must be able to deal with this kind of thing??

There was a thread about this recently. The company actually is above board, it's basically a scam where they install it for free and then force you into a hefty maintenance contract.
