what car seat in hire car?

am just trying to book a hire car for our holiday, but not sure which car seat to request for ds1.
atm here he is in a britax evolva (with harness), but I think would still fit in the baby seat, it was just we needed it for ds2

I have choice of baby seat (9-18kg) or booster seat (18-36kg)

I have NO idea what he weighs... is 18kg a lot? or not? will the booster just be a regular booster seat? or a highback thing do you think?
am booking through Record if anyone has used them before?
I was just going to book the baby seat, but he is quite tall and am worried he'll be too big for it. but then equally worried that the booster won't be enough for him

think you should weigh him first and then pick the car seat suitable for his weight. We had a similar problem and were advised to do that, go by weight not age.

If he would still go in a baby seat then 9-18kg is correct (roughly from 9 months to 3-4 years)

sorry, lol, should say. he is 4, and relatively tall.

i am pretty sure he would still fit in our bebe confort 9-18kg seat, but obv don';t know what kind we'd get and if it'd be big enough

but obv if the booster isn't a highback booster, just a little cushion then that's not really suitable.

hmmm, i think i better ring them and ask
