Hi, I'm doing a party for her 4th birthday and 20 children will be comming.
I'm just wondering where is the best place to buy sweets on a huge scale, for the party bags. I'm thinking of wrapping up a handfull of sweets and wrapping them up in fabric, (Like wedding favours).
I just wanted to know the best place to buy the sweets and by best, of corse I mean cheepest.

I'll have to see if anyone has a membership. That's a good idea.

TBH, Asda works out pretty cheaply and it is not like you need stuff on a huge scale.

You don't need to be a member to shop at Costco I seem to think, could be wrong, that non members can go in the afternoons?

mummyloveslucy · 20/02/2009 19:46

I thought of woolworths. I used to shop in there loads as it was the only decent shop in our small town.

Home Bargains often do big bags of cheap Haribo etc.

bigTillyMint · 20/02/2009 19:52

Just get some bags of the mini-size bars in the supermarket.

Or are you looking to give each child their weight in sugar? The parents will LOVE you. NOT

Aldi and Lidl

Of course the very best place to buy sweets in the country is that sweetie shop in Lincoln. They have all the old 60s and 0s ones there..

Aquarterof have good sweets but you can get the same but cheaper in Asda, just not in such nice packaging.
But you're making your own lovely packaging anyway.

mummyloveslucy · 20/02/2009 20:37

I LOVE Lidel chocolate!
