Wher can I get pretty trousers for my tall slim 7 year old DD

Hi, my DD is 7(nearly 8) and I am having problem getting clothes to fit her. She is already 4ft 7ins and slim but if I buy her trousers for 10yr olds to get the length, they are baggy on the bum and too wide on the waist. Tops for 10 yr olds are ok on the length but too wide or too broad on the shoulders. I am even finding it hard to get school uniform to fit nicely now.

I have just read in the paper that kids clothes retailers are looking at resizing kids ranges. They reckon that kids are taller but less slim these days. If this happens my DD may get clothes closer to her age for length but they will still be far too wide.

Also my DD still likes pretty clothes but the designs of clothes for 10 yrs and upwards seem to be more sassy and streetwise with unsuitable slogans for a 7yr old.

Any suggestions for reasonably priced clothes to fit her???.

no help on the price, but Boden do v good skinnies in full length and cropped

Gap are often good for skinny minnies too

School clothes from Next are often cut too tight and grownup (IMO) but would be ideal for you eg these trous

Agree with Gap, they often have the skinny kids range reduced in Cheshire Oaks outlet village.

Have found my skinny DD (11yrs) a few bits and bobs in Primark and Matalan that have fitted okay with the aid of a belt.

She wears skirts a lot and last summer she ran around in shorts that were bought for her when she was 7!! LOL they were very short but fitted fine on the waist.

She still wears them now TBH but with leggings underneath.

My dd is younger but french makes fit her best as they are cut much slimmer than others
I buy her petit bateau, cyrillus,or more budget options are la redoute or vertbaudet.La redoute do "slim" girl jeans as do lands end (landsend.com)

I am in the same boat and find that Boden fits the bill and the clothes are stll girly enough for dd age. I look out for sales and may well ebay things she has grown out of

Yes Zara is slim too,but boden is massive around the waist on my dd.

Great suggestions will have a day out with DD soon and do some shopping. Looks like my DS1 is going the same way, his Xmas trousers are now above his ankles and they haven't shrunk!
