I have decided over the weekend that it would be better if i stopped posting and reading MN. Its silly, but it gives me an inferiority complex nowadays and i think my life would be a lot simpler if I just left and didnt post anymore. It is no-ones fault, no-one has upset me, it is my problem. Think i need to concentrate on my real life and stop talking to my computer so much.

Thank you to everyone who has helped me over the last 2 years or so. Thanks to everyone on the Special needs section of the board who have helped me enormously come to terms with my daughters problems, and I hope I have helped other people too.

Oh well, this all sounds very dramatic, but thought it would be ignorant just to disappear. Goodbye xx

Hiya Fio - hope you get all you want in real life. I wish I could go back there for a while. You are a lovely person and don't let anyone make you feel any different. Say hi on Msn if I ever get back on there.

iota · 11/04/2005 18:59

Fio - have you been buying Turkey Twizzlers?

juniperdewdrop · 11/04/2005 19:04

Bye hun and hope you'll be back.

I've not been around much for a while (no one noticed though well, maybe strawbs lol) and it was just because I've been seeing a lot more of RL mates and out more doing other stuff. It's been great and I'm rarely on here now but still like to pop in as it's a good place most of the time. I hope you have a good time doing whatever you do hun, xxxxxxx

secretregular · 11/04/2005 19:12

Bye Fio2 and good luck. totally understand what you are on about. I left a while ago as my real name and only post very occasionally as secretregular. I tend to lurk when I'm doing my hair which i do next to the computer and then I end up posting something. I left because I was irritated by a few Alpha female types and the few "halo" wearers who can do no wrong, and thought how crazy it was to be irritated by people I'll never meet in real life. Pop back when or if you need it and you are quite right to get back into real life, there's a big wide world out there and you will achieve more by joining it than escaping on here every day. Good luck x

Oh Fio i will miss you. you have been a great help to me over the last few months. stay in touch

SenoraPostrophe · 11/04/2005 19:59

You can't leave, fio! That would only leave janh and me as the slattern sisters.

I see your point though. See you around occasionally maybe?

hatsoff · 11/04/2005 20:03

sorry to see you go. bye bye and good luck

whymummy · 11/04/2005 20:05

good luck fio

pixiefish · 11/04/2005 20:48

all the best fio xxx

Flik · 11/04/2005 20:54

I have come on tonight after about 3 months away. The conversations were getting a bit strained for me. I have missed it though and it's nice to be back for a night now and then. Sorry to hear your off.

Good luck Fio. Wish I could have your self-discipline!

I am so glad I popped into this thread to have a nose.

One lady just a few posts down mentioned the Alpha females or something.
Can I just say i made the mistake of joining another site for older mums, no names, no pack drill, and the clickiness from the Superiors left me a bit of a jibbering wreck two nights or so ago when I dared to make a comment about what one of them had said.

I was basically jumped on by a pack of wolves and abused, as much as you can be, on this thing. I'm leaving them all to it now, can't be asked to waste my time with them.

I can't be the only one to have suffered this by the sounds of it.

I'm sure your reasons for leaving are not as severe as these Fio2. I hope not anyway. but, at least there is more freedom of expression on here. And yes, a bit of time away from all sites will do me a bit of good I think. Why should faceless arseholes (sorry for language, just had a flashback to the other night and am starting to get angry again) have this effect on us.

Sorry to go on a bit on your thread.

Aero · 11/04/2005 23:14

Can we still do a lunch in Fav? Keep in touch with the Cadbury lady and hope to see you soon in rl.

pragmatist · 12/04/2005 09:35

I'm really keen to know who the alphafemales are...any clues?

(I know it wouldn't be right to name names, but perhaps just a hint?)

eidsvold · 12/04/2005 12:42

oh fio - I will miss your good advice and support.... take care x

secretregular · 12/04/2005 17:33

oh no I'm in enough trouble today as it is for being mean about my friends little boy! but I will say that "generally" alpha females are types who are very bossy and go-getting and like female politicians tell all and sundry what "women want" when they are so far removed from most women they wouldn't have a clue. Like a corporate director for instance saying that stay at home mum's want X. Er, how would you know you've never stayed a day at home with your kids in your life. That sort of thing.

iota · 12/04/2005 17:35

hey secretregular - I backed you up on that other thread - but then I'm and iota-female - a bit further down the Gk alphabet

See you hon, take care.

No idea why I'm posting this as you'll never read it
