Hi my MIL has students and a letter arrived for one of them which my MIL has lost. It turns out it was a perscription for some medication which her mum had sent her.
My MIL is extreamly worried that she can't find it and thinks it might have been taken to the tip with the rubbish.
What I wanted to know is can a foreign student go to a doctor in the U.K and get another perscription?
I really hope she can, as my MIL is turning the house upsidedown at the moment.

YES can go to the doctors but will doctor be able to assertain the product needed.

But maybe ask the teachers as they will have medical information.

Where is she from ? If an EU citizen she can sign on at a regular gp, if not it may be mroe complicated to do so and she'd probably need a private prescription. They may want to contact the original doctor to get some background unlesshe can show her current bottle.

It turns out the perscription was for spot cream. My MIL is relieved.
Thanks for your help.
