Anyone got a Toyota Corolla Verso? If so, is there a red light that flashes on the dashboard?

DH has lost his key and thinks he may have locked it in the car and as there isn't a red light flashing, he thinks this is conclusive as this means the immobliser isn't on....

Does that make sense???

Anyway, is there a flashing light on the dashboard? Would anyone please have a look out their window/brave the cold to find out.....

we have just got one as a hire car, and it has a red flashing light. But I cant figure the whole car out - I am sure it locked itself the other day. It is bewilderingly high tech.

has he found the keys yet?

Thanks...

No he hasn't. And he hasn't a spare...

£900 for a new one and he can't claim on insurance either as he lost it himself. He's thinking of breaking the window to see if he's locked it in the car by accident. But what if he hasn't?

Ho Hum.

He's V P*D off!

oh no, thats not good. How much would it cost to get someone to come and open the car, would a locksmith do that?

how old are your children, have you checked the washing machine poweder drawer, under the seat of the bobby car etc?

ex h lost his keys once. they were eventually found, on the roof of an old car HE had in the back garden. He had put them there while talking to a neighbour over the garden fence....

this is the worst thing about new cars, they are so complicated that you get stung when things go wrong, cos you've got no options to sort it out yourself. Not like the old days when you just got a spare copied.

I've checked everywhere, had all the furniture out and everything (the house has never been cleaner!! )

He's taking my car to a Toyota dealer tomorrow to see about whether it would be feasable (sp?) to break a window, just to see if the key is inside (I hate it that cars can lock themselves now!)

I am at the car locking itself, actually. You'd think it would be smart enough to know that the keys are inside, wouldnt you.
My old car couldnt be locked if the keys were inside, simple mechanism that you needed the keys to lock the drivers door. Saved me pain on numerous occasions.

Dh had a BMW before ond he dropped the key while putting the baby seat in, not realising. ANyway, it locked itself and we had to get BMW assist to come a rescue us! (luckily Baby wasn't in the seat a the time!)

He wishes he still has a company car!
