We have a week to hand in the answers for our church xmas quiz. There are 100 questions, and we've managed all but 9.

All questions or answers have a connection with currency. We are given the 1st letter of the words.

  1. An eye for an eye - P.B.i.h.o.C
  1. British Coin without Sovereigns Head - W.C.C
(I thought this might be something to do with Cromwell)
  1. Worth 60 talents - M
  1. This currency could weigh up to 4 tons - R.S
  1. It is silver in France and gold in Germany - M
  1. Hopefully named Flying Fortress - T.B.P
  1. A good lock - T.o.a.S
  1. Herb - P
  1. Stake a small horse - A.P

I have googled but I can't come up with these... can anyone help?

Mary I wouldn't be surprised if they got it wrong - it wouldn't be the first time...
On the back of the sheet it says 'The decision of the adjudicator is final (even if wrong)'!
