Doll that will go in a bath - Baby Annabell?? (present to give from newborn)

I'm trying to buy a lifelike doll to give to my daughter as a present from our imminent newborn. I thought it would be nice if she could bath her doll when I bath the newborn, and have one that she could feed too whilst I'm breastfeeding. I've looked at the Baby Annabell on a website but it says it needs batteries so not sure if it's suitable to go in the bath too. My daughter is nearly 3.
If anyone wants to suggest any other present from the newborn then feel free!
Thanks everyone.

Baby Annabel is great but not waterproof. Best bet for bathtime is the ELC baby doll. They do a lifelike boy too (IYKWIM)

There is a doll that is specifically for bathing. I bought it for my neice a couple of years ago. I could ask my sister if you don't get any other help.

We.ve got a Tomy doll that goes in the bath, she comes with a swim suit and when you push her tummy she sings.

This is making me wonder if one should give siblings a gift from newborn. I must say I feel a bit funny about it, but then loads of people seem to do it. When ds2 arrived ds1 was only 17 months, so I didn't bother - he was too young, but this time, they'll be nearly 3 & 4.5, so I need to starrt thinking - what are you thoughts - yes or no, and if yes - what???

btw, sorry, good luck & best wishes for the birth Janus - have you got long to go - you say imminent - hope you get the doll in time.

DS2 "gave" DS1 a plastic shark from the ELC range of animals when he was born. DS1 was 2 and was delighted and still remembers who gave him the shark and when now he's 4.

I think gifts for older children when a new child arrives are a must. DS was 23 months when baby sister arrived; he got a tricycle, xylophone, other stuff... I gave the items out slowly over the month after new baby's birth.

Our new DD bought DS some Lego when she was born. He loved and went round showing everyone in the hospital that he could find. We put the pressie in her cot for him to find when he got there.

hi janus when my ds was born we gave dd a baby doll of her own in a moses basket. we actually took it in to the hospital and gave it to her the moment she saw the real baby. when i fed and burped changed nappies etc dd would do the same with her baby i think its a great idea it makes them feel part of it all especially if they are abit too young to help out properly (my dd was only 2) good luck anyway
