How do you get washable crayon out of a carpet?

Could anyone please tell me how to get washable crayon out of a carpet please.

Vanish Oxy-action is pretty good for carpets and upholsetery (doesn't seem to bleach the carpet). Haven't ever had crayon on the carpet yet - just the walls, coffee-table, TV...

duh, sorry didn't mean crayon, i meant felt tip pen, just want to try and get it out before dh gets home in half and throws a complete paddy when he sees it]
