What are the best wellies to buy for a 4 year old girl who loves the great out doors (in all weathers). She will be walking quite long distances in them and she's not the most co-ordinated child so they will need to be fairly supportive to prevent her falling. They'll also need a good grip.
Thanks.

Have good wellies.

Agree, Hunters are great. They fit like proper boots, rather than wellies, have really good sole/grip and are properly comfy.

The Joules ones are great too, although you'll have to wait for the new season's stock to come in, as they are pretty much all sold out at teh moment.

mummyloveslucy · 14/01/2009 21:15

Thanks, I really like the Hunters. I think it would be worth the investment, at the moment she's using her classic start-rites to climb muddy banks and run through puddles.

I know she'll go for the baby pink ones.
I'd like to find somewere that sells them locally, so that she can try them on.

dd has hunters, they did have red and pale blue in john lewis for £10.

missblythe · 14/01/2009 21:23

Where do you live?

They tend to sell them in outdoorsy shops, but also have them at the Clinkards shops if there is one of those near you:

I live in Torbay in Devon, so Plymoth or Exeter would be o.k.
