you know when you type in a letter or two and it drops down a list of previous titles.
Is there any way of clearing those?

Click on tools at the top, then options, have a nosy through there..also when you click on tools, a drop down box with clear private data comes in the box click on that too

If you just want to clear one or two unwanted [ahem] fill ins you can just delete them manually.

or do a total reset if need be. Clear EVERYTHING

If you right click in the box, I think you can press delete

MotherFlippin, that doesn't sound like an automatic suggestion to me!

The Google search bar I have in firefox suggests things automatically (the one that comes with firefox, not a toolbar) and google.com suggests things too but google.co.uk doesn't (yet). I don't know about the toolbar, I hate extra toolbars!

Turn on Private Browsing. On my Mac, it's in the drop down menu when I click on Safari in the menu bar.

I think the extra toolbars suggest things other users in the world have asked for. The ordinary site does not.

For Internet Explorer try this.

Control Panel - Internet Options.
Select the 'content' tab
click the 'autocomplete' button.
Click 'clear forms' button
