Meat, kitchen roll (Bounty), toilet roll (Andrex or Charmin), cereal (I love Just Right...it's that or nothing, so I buy loads of it when it's on offer, like now! and Rice Krispies for junior).

I'll buy cheap coffee (Sainsbury's own is actually quite good for instant; real coffee I treat myself to when it's on offer); cheap clingfilm (stores own) and fruit and veg. Aldi's 6 for 39p is usually good. Their clems last week were divine.

Thanks for this thread. It's quite fascinating looking at other people's habits and it reminded me of a few of my own which I'd forgotten about.

Chicken - not necessarily organic, but definitely proper free range

We have, however, started to do a proper list and a meal plan and this week we saved about 35 quid on our normal weekly shop for 4

Yorkshire tea bags always !!! They are pricey, but sometimes they do 100% extra free. they make the best tea !!!

washing up liquid- got to be fairy
soap powder- bold or daz
coffee if not real coffee then nescafe gold blend
sanitary towels

think thats all most other things are value stuff to try and save money
