How do I work out percentages - KS are you there?!

I know I know how to do this and I am just brain dead but I have been stuck in all day, staring at charts of statistics, and I'm past it... so, for instance, how would I work out what percentage of 116147 would 1545 be and how would I get to that number?

well I do it

1545/1161.47

but I'm not sure that's right

1545 divided by 116147 and then multiply by 100

1545 divided by 116147 multiplied by 100

1.33% or so says my DH
