Has anyone taken a 9 year old to a concert or been to a 'clubbing' concert themselves??

its a dance nation one, i know that dd1 would love to go but am wary as i should imagine it will be aimed at adults, but if i got us seats would it be OK, or is it a big no no?

Thanks puzzle.

well...it says it has seats...I've never been to a concert so don't know how that stuff works, i have emailed them to see if she is even allowed, not sure if it'll have an age limit anyway.

IME, under 16's are allowed in most venues but they must be in seated. It should say when you book.

We took the ds's to see Aerosmith in hyde park when they were 3.5 and 1.5. ds2 slept through it, ds1 loved it and danced all night.

welloiled-wow! thats young, was it not too loud for them? ooohhh does that mean i could take dd2 whou with be 1.5 by then? I'm really in 2 minds, i want to book it for her birthday and dps birthday as suprises so i can't even discuss it with him, also been trying to get onto the travellodge website to see if they have rooms but they have so many people going on because of a sale, i can't get on!

Hi, its WellOiledWench back to regular name!
Well, remember it was an outdoor venue. Having said that, joe Satriani was in a tent, very loud (and superb!). I covered ds2's ears a bit altho he didnt seem bothered, but ds1 had a whale of a time!

When we were outdoors for aerosmith, they both ran free (until ds2 fell asleep!!), but in thetent it was seriously overcrowded and only one bouncer to monitor the door, so we stayed close to escape, ds2 was on the hipseat, and ds1 was crammd into one of those back carrier things. Dh found that hard cos ds1 was dancing around up there so much

We went with our friends and their little boy too. We only had one negative comment, about being selfish parents, but alot of positive ones, esp when everyone saw how much the boys were into it.
