Dangerous set of Pedestrian crossing lights..weird one, whom should I contact?

There are a set of lights at a crossing near us that are faulty and I witnessed a near miss with a child and lady with a buggy today. They only stay "greenman" for 2 seconds then jump to red so no one is crossing at the correct time.
I called the council who said they would leave a message with transport for London - a bit of a fob off really. What on earth do I do?

Call TfL yourself - usually lights have a label on saying who to contact if they are broken

Ask the police?

We reported a dangerous road (DH was 6th accident in 2 weeks in same place) to police & council as Police get called out if there is an accident!

Pleaase report them - friend of mine was killed on a faulty crossing
