It is my friend's 40th in a couple of weeks and I have madly said I will bring a karaoke machine (why do i do things like that????). I somehow thought they would cost about £20 .

Does anyone have one??

Do I win long shot of the year award?

Ooh I don't know if you are still looking, but Woolworths do a Karaoke machine with DVD player for 340. DH got one (we needed a new DVD player being his excuse) and it is hilarious. It came with a couple of karaoke DVD's and about 10 other films. We have also bought a couple of extra discs.

It is good fun, and we are going to try a couple of kids ones too as they love it I'll do a google search for you.

Have a look on Amazon and ebay here

Just to say Singstar for the PS2 arrived today and it is HILARIOUS. I also went for the Eye Toy digital camera - essential, it films you and plays your whole performance back at the end - minus music. Truly utterly cringemaking, I was weeping.

Highly recommended - thanks www!
