Happy Paddy's Day everyone, particularly everyone here from Ireland. See yez at the parade!!

St. Patrick was a gentleman
Who through strategy and stealth
Drove all the snakes from Ireland.
Here?s toasting to his health.

But not too many toastings
Lest you lose yourself and then
Forget the good St. Patrick
And see all those snakes again.

Told ds (aged 5) about the legend of St patrick last year, so yesterday when we told him we were going to bermingham for the parade he said "is St Patrick coming to tell the Bermingham people about god then ?"

our school had a float at the birmingham parade and it was fab!... us teachers just enjoyed the opportunity to shout at anyone who looked vaguely official!!!! ha! ha!

the sun was shining and everyone looked like they were having a jolly nice time!

Yes, belated happy St. Pad's Day to all with Irish connections. My brother's birthday too and he was off for a boozy couple of days in Dublin.

BUT DON'T FORGET 23rd APRIL IS ST GEORGE'S DAY - which always seems to get brushed under the carpet!!!
